Come one, Come all...........

Anybody else out there from NJ or the surrounding states want to play?

I’m hosting a shoot on Saturday May 31st. It will be at the Buckeye Gun Club.

Check out the pictures from the last shoot at the site above from last year's TFL shoot. 3 gun from Ohio won the rope shoot with his S&W 629 44 Mag. and 9mmMike from PA cleaned house with his itsy bitsy tiny weenie Glock 26. He won the Police Qualification shoot AND the pin shoot!

Events will be:

1) NJ police pistol qualification (For score. Are you better than you local PD?)

2) ROPE SHOOT (Shoot the rope in half, make the log drop.)

3) PIN SHOOT (Knock the pins off the RR ties before they do.)

4) CLAY PIGEON SHOOT (Shatter the clay pigeons in record time.)

5) BALLOON SHOOT (Pop the balloons as they sway in the wind.)

Raffles will be held. Prizes awarded to the winners.
$5.00 all you can eat. $5.00 each event.
Sign in starts at 9:00am. Shooting starts at 10:00am.

Ask anyone who went to our past shoots about the fun and friendships made at this event. Bring at least 4 boxes of what ever handgun ammo you are shooting. The Police Qualification is 60 rounds by itself. Help support our club and the up and coming NJCSD. www.njcsd.org

Caution:

Transport firearms unloaded. Case them and ammo separately. Lock both if you can. Transport them in the trunk. No hollow points. No magazines that can hold over 15 rounds. Come directly to the range from your location. When leaving, go directly home. (Yea, Jersey law sucks. NJCSD will be working on it)

The funds gathered from this shoot will go towards supporting the NJCSD and the Buckeye Gun Club.

(Possible turkey shoot also. I will know by the middle of May. Get your shotguns ready!)

Well, I can't go since it is a Sat but I'll contribute $10 in honor of the event to your NJCSD. Make a similar event on a Sun and I'll up it to $20 (hey, a little bribe never hurts does it :evil: ). Seriously, I have more hope that you guys may turn things around than my state here ever turns around. I hate to say it but even with the new Republican governor who looks a lot like the old guy (and people ask why I remain a "Conservative Democrat" and don't get it that both major parties and really the small ones too fit me just as poorly) I expect laws to get worse here before they get better. Heck, I doubt they'll ever get better.

On that pleasant note...

If you ever do choose to schedule a Sun event I'll do all I can to go there (no garantees should you make it during some other Jewish holiday or the same Sunday as some major family event or after grad school starts). I love every excuse I can get right now to take a road trip and get out of town (I tend to get a bit of stir crazyness this time of year and have to get on the road).

The ghost didn't bother me last time, but I'm a sound sleeper. You'll have to ask SodaPop or Geoff. chaim, we did a little bit of shooting on Sunday, but kept it short.

Ray, I'll bring my sleeping bag just in case. I'm also bringing a new toy I just picked up at the gunshow this weekend. :)

Sorry guys I'm gonna have to pass up this shoot. Wish I could come and defend my "rope" title but a club only an hour from home is having an awesome shoot the same day. Ashland D.A.R.E. Everybody coming to the shoot try to bring small bills to the shoot so that we can easily make change. Each event, minus the turkey shoot stuff, is $5.00. Bring 5's and lots of 1's in order to help us out in that department.
