Is there a way to tell which bullets are indoor range safe? I need something in a soft tip. Also recomendations on size of bullets whould be great too. I will be doing most of my shooting at the indoor range, but I hope to be able to shoot on some farm land around here some day.
I've been reloading pistol for a few months now and I just got my first AR. :D So I need to get to work on reloading for it. :)

that depends entirely on what the range rules are, usually driven by how much $ they spent on their backstop and ventilation.
some indoor ranges only restrict use of steel ammo. others require lead-free. i'm not aware of any that require soft tips :)
are you looking for a soft tip for hunting?

Better check with your indoor range before jumping in with both feet. If the bullet trap is not designed to handle rifle bullets, it won't matter what type bullet you use, the trap will be damaged and the operator won't let you shoot a rifle on it. Assuming you don't get the expensive frangible bullets specifically designed for the job.
