My used Para 14-45 has a 2 stage full lenght guide rod and a coil spring of undefined value. Tough to rack the slide! I disassembled the guide rod, clipped the coil inside it til I could operate it OK... STILL.. I never had a FLGR before. Did this Model come with a standard 1911 style GR?
Para is not answering e-mails on the subject.

This is a full size 5" gun, right?
I am pretty sure it would have come with a standard recoil spring column. Maybe like a real 1911, maybe a plain single spring FLGR.
Those two stage things are available from several aftermarket makers like Sprinco.
