braindead0 April 22, 2003, 04:45 PM chain gun. Ian April 22, 2003, 04:47 PM That situation sounds quiet.......TOO quiet! I'd grab my Daewoo, Beta-C mag, and bayonet (can't be too careful), a 1911 on my belt, my 1903 in a shoulder holster, and my .308 scout rifle slung on my back. :p Ledbetter April 22, 2003, 05:04 PM When I don't need to actually be armed I carry my P32.:neener: Shalako April 22, 2003, 05:20 PM My spudgun loaded with balistic tipped tarantulas. cool45auto April 22, 2003, 05:32 PM I was thinking potato gun myself.;) Jesse H April 22, 2003, 05:56 PM straw and spidwads. Schuey2002 April 22, 2003, 06:08 PM I'm left in a quandary when we have a "No go!" situation.. I need my chaos, anarchy, and/or alien-zombie invasions. As A.P. would say,"it keeps me on the edge, where I need to be." Oh, right, a "Nuttin's up Gun".. I'm still taking a H&K G36 or any variation thereof.. ;) Sven April 22, 2003, 06:21 PM A suppressed .22 pistol. sidearm April 22, 2003, 06:27 PM tactical orange super-soaker w/ water balloons for diversion. :p blades67 April 22, 2003, 06:32 PM Nail gun. Nothing going on, might as well build something.:D George Hill April 22, 2003, 06:33 PM Benjamin-Sheridan Silver Streak. cratz2 April 22, 2003, 06:37 PM I hate to further drift on this extremely-serious thread :p but I would grab my super-un-tactical home-made crossbow... the one I've never had any bolts for. But do notice the cut-out cheek piece - a custom touch. ;) http://photos.imageevent.com/cratz2/guns//DCP_2405a.JPG cratz2 April 22, 2003, 06:41 PM Or if I'm feeling a bit more stealthy, I might nab my $40 Meijer close-out Marksman Official Olympic Trainer pellet rifle. Note the uber-tactical stock, the uber-high end 2.5x BSA scope that is more translucent than transparent and the uber-smithed trigger the breaks clean at about 12 lbs. It's also in small enough caliber that even Wild Romanian might approve. :D http://photos.imageevent.com/cratz2/guns//DCP_2400a.JPG sm April 22, 2003, 06:45 PM I keep a CCW handy . Dunno, its that quiet before the storm thing. Maybe having raised sibs and dogs. When "nothings happening" either they are asleep or into something--usually the later.;) bogie April 22, 2003, 06:53 PM First I'd grab my helmet - In preparation for possible photo ops at Knob Creek this spring, I layered it with a few sheets of (shiny side out) aluminum foil! Sgt April 22, 2003, 06:56 PM Even when it's "quiet" I still sleep with one or more 1911's and since I'm prone to day dreaming....I keep them around all day too. Semper Fi, Sgt F=ma April 22, 2003, 08:17 PM Why do you ask?! What's goin' on?! :scrutiny: kannonfyre April 22, 2003, 09:06 PM Put on some armor (chainmail, hardened leather, PASGT jacket....etc), strap on my various knives and stand ready for trouble. If nothing happens in 24 hours, stand down and get some zzzzzzzzzz. techmike April 22, 2003, 09:14 PM But Mine will be loaded with silvertip-superballistic FROGS! (Not the french Kind either!):what: Skunkabilly April 22, 2003, 09:39 PM Beretta 92F Vertec 92G Vertec IA 92F M9 92F Brigadier Inox 92G Elite 92GSD 92 Stock 92 Combat 92 Billenium Cx4 Storm Same mags, baby. CAP April 22, 2003, 09:52 PM What Ledbetter said. And Skunk too. The P32 is soooo easy to conceal. Skunkabilly April 22, 2003, 09:57 PM All your 92F and variations thereof are belong to Skunk griz April 22, 2003, 10:32 PM Usually my Illudium Q-36 Explosive Space Modulator or a Super Soaker, which ever seems more tactical at the time:uhoh: riverdog April 22, 2003, 10:33 PM In the back of my truck lately (although not at this moment) has been a Rem 870 Wingmaster and a Browning O/U for Trap and Skeet (although the 870's 20" HD/PD barrel is also in the case) and a S&W Mod 629 for GP. The 629 may be replaced by a 1911 type, but two shotguns and a PD handgun is pretty standard truck carry for me lately. AR-10 April 22, 2003, 11:11 PM I try to address this daily irrational craving by keeping them in rotation so I don't wear any particular one out by lavishing too much attention on it. I have noticed lately that the ARs are getting pulled out of the safe a lot and the shotgun is being neglected. Handguns get their turns, but the ARs keep budging to the front. Schuey2002 April 22, 2003, 11:32 PM All your 92F and variations thereof are belong to Skunk. All your H&K G36's and *ahem* "variations thereof" are belong to Schuey.. :uhoh: pbman April 23, 2003, 02:52 AM A good single action revolver is always best, when i don't have to shoot anything in a hurry, or be to tatical. And that should apply for the NO SHTF. Matter of fact i have one in a holster hanging on my bed post. Gusses i don't plan on shooting more than 5 people in the middle of the night. Dex Sinister April 23, 2003, 03:31 AM Well, my usual CCW gun is a Kahr K40, so that's likely what I'd be found with. Dex http://www.gamers-forums.com/smilies/contrib/ruinkai/FIREdevil.gif H Romberg April 23, 2003, 10:02 AM Mosin Truck rifle, and CCW du jour Elmer Snerd April 23, 2003, 12:07 PM http://www.plif.com/archive/wc055.gif Ringer April 23, 2003, 08:18 PM As long as no one is attacking, no one is invading and no S is H'ing TF I'd have to borrow a quote from the Marines in the movie "Full Metal Jacket" and set my rifle aside for a bit and have some FUN! Marines: [Chanting] This is my rifle. Marines: [Grabbing their ......] This is my gun. This is for fighting, and this is for fun. Mute April 24, 2003, 12:23 PM Everyone should know by now, the proper answer is Plasma Phase Rifle in the 40 watt range. Braz April 24, 2003, 12:39 PM Heh, Those threads cracked me up. Good to laugh at ourselves sometimes. My stand-by mode weapon would be five feet of rubber tubing made into a sling. In Sapada, the western, they lay on their backs and put their feet into the loops to form a slingshot. Ammo was bolts, nuts, balls, rocks, anything handy. Pretty fun stuff. Say Cratz, that's a beauty of an x-bow.
