Hi, Gents!

I have a pile of MagTech Small Magnum Pistol primers and was wondering if there would be any reason, having a bunch of them on hand, why I SHOULD NOT use them for standard 9mm and .40? Would a little extra 'flash' cause me a pressure spike or something? I don't see a down side, but figured I'd better sanity check just to make sure I'm on the safe side. Thanksl for your input.

Primers make quite a bit of difference in velocities I've measured over my chrono and the logical conclusion would be that they change pressures. If you run your loads hot or greater than 10% less than maximum listed loads, you should drop your charges down to a start level again and rework up your load as the manuals recommend. If you load modest low pressure target loads then go ahead and use the mag primers. You may see a difference in accuracy.

Winchester large pistol primers work for standard or magnum loads. Use your primers, and use starting powder data. A chrono would come in handy:)
