I'm looking for a light factory loaded cartridge for CHL type practice.
I've been looking arcoss the net. There's too much info out there, very little recent, or definitive.
It's for my arthritic wife. tia..

You might look for "Cowboy loads" . I'm sure there's got to be a couple manufacturers that put them out.

The standard .38 target load is the 148 grain HBWC (Hollow Base Wad Cutter). There are several mild factory versions of this load, but this is an easy load to learn reloading with.

Sistema is correct with the bullet and weight. Back in my bullseye days I shot a S&W Model 52 in 38 spec and my load was a 148 gr lhbwc(lead hollow based wad cutter) seated flush to the mouth over 2.7 gr of Bullseye. This was the standard target load and was very mild. In an all steel firearm there will be very little recoil and it's fairly clean.

Ditto on LOADEDROUND's suggestion of the 2.7 Bullseye load. GREAT paper puncher with light recoil. Recoil not even bad out of a J frame either.
