I have a revolver that i believe was refinished in the mid 80's in Texas. I believe that company is out of business. I like the finish. Can anyone tell me what finishes are available that closely resemble armalloy in both appearance and toughness.

Armoloy of Dallas was one of the first to offer firearms plating, and they're still in business.

Armoloy of Fort Worth
204 E. Dagget St.
Fort Worth, TX 76104
Plant: 817-654-1751
Fax: 817-335-6517
Web: www.armoloyftworth.com
Contact: Tony DePaul

However, Armoloy is just a proprietary name for hard chrome, and there are a number of top companies doing first rate gun plating.
These companies all differ in the options offered, and you can choose anything from the original Armoloy flat pearl gray to a bright shiny finish:

I stopped using Armoloy in Dallas back in the mid-1980's after customer complaints about substandard jobs, and a BAD incident with a "missing/stolen"??? gun.

Today, I think you get better consistent work from platers that specialize in firearms plating.
