Who Likes Chest Holsters?

I have tried all types of regular belt holsters and I never liked them, they always seemed to pull my pants down, especially when running.

When I had my 1911, I bought the M7 chest holster and I loved it!
It held the gun right in front for easy access and the gun didn't seem as heavy as when worn on a belt.

I have a Glock 21 now and find it hard to find a holster like the M7 that will fit the G21.

I don't really like the cross-draw, where the strap goes across the chest diagonally and holds the gun semi on the chest, but if that would be all that's available I guess it would work.

It's hard to find a good chest holster anywhere. I don't like the traditional horizontal or vertical shoulder hoslters, all the spiderweb of straps and clips, I think they've gotten way too complicated.

Here's a place outside Ft. Campbell that I've been too. Lots of good stuff.

I have one of these,Chest Holster (http://www.holstersinternational.com/chestcat.htm) . Its the only one like it I've found. Its more of a specialty holster, and requires a zip front coat or sweatshirt. I mostly use it for when I'm in the truck snow plowing as its real easy to get to

I have been searching for years for a good holster for carrying my favorite 1911 [10mm] during deer season. When you aer in a tree stand, a belt holster is awkward and requires too much "movement" to draw. Most shoulder rigs put the pistol so far under your arm[for concealment] that its hard to draw, especially when you have on alot of clothes. Then I found an old GI tanker's holster. Then,a fter playing with that...and modifying.....I found out a friend does some leather work, and had him make one. PERFECT.....just a simple pouch holster...on a single loop of leather....carries like a shoulder holster when walking....and when you get in the treestand...slide it on around front for easy access.

Dad saw it, and had one made for his G23...now when he jumps on the 4wheeler or tractor to run around the farm, he just throughs the chest rig over heis shoulder/head...and off he goes, well armed.

I'll try to get a pic up later......chest rigs are the ANSWER for the outdoorsman. At least for this one:)

From a woman's point of view, I think the belt would be better. Which chest holsters are more comfortable for women? These all look more suited for men.

I had Tactical Leather in Micanopy Fla make me a full flap holster to my design, for carrying a Ruger SA .45 Colt while hunting. This rig has a wide belt that goes across the chest, and attaches to the belt on the weak side. I find that this carry method keeps the Ruger at hand, and is very comfortable. The fill flap protects the gun when I am pushing through heave brush in North Florida. I still hunt a lot, and there are times that the Ruger is what I depend on, while the rifle is slung barrel down behind my back, in deep swamp or palmettos.
