I was ordering some odds and ends from CDNN Investments today, mostly just mags and stripper clips for my SKS when for no reason I just said "give me one of those Yugo M48 as well". What the heck? I don't do things like that, I usally think things over for a long time and research before I buy a gun. I have a Turk 1938 so I figured, hey, I got a bunch of 8mm ammo, might as well have another 8mm Mauser.

It was $69.99 in the worst condition they have with no matching numbers (I would assume). Is that a good price and what should I know about these guns?

You should know only a couple things.....

1. They are great rifles and an excellent value for the money.
2. They're addictive, you'll need more than one.

I'm not familiar with the CDNN rifles but as long as all the parts are there, headspace has been checked, and the bore is in decent condition, you're good to go.

Let us know how it comes in.My Turks are great shooters even though one of them looks like it was drug behind a tank from Moscow to Tehran! M48's are great rifles.

O.K. Tropical Z. You knew I would anyway. How can I keep my mouth shut when I get a new gun? My wife doesn't want to hear about it and I think I have even bored my gun friends with all my gun talk. My brother has a running joke that everytime he calls, he asks what new gun did I get and for at least a year and a half, I have always had a new one to tell him about. Money is getting a little tight and I really shouldn't have bought this one but it was only $69.99 so its not that big of a deal. I don't know how some of you guys can drop 2-3K on a new gun every couple of weeks.

A rock solid rifle for 70 bucks... That is one hell of a deal no matter how you look at it.
