I complain so much about poor CS that I figure I should give a nod when it's above expectations as well.

I recently ordered a SpeedFeed IV-s (shorter 13" LOP) for my Winchester Defender. When it came in, it wasn't as short as I expected... then when I got to the final "put on the buttpad" stage, the buttpad was WAY smaller than the end of the stock. Measuring the stock revealed that it was 13" LOP without the 1" buttpad.

I called the place I ordered it from, who kindly referred me to SpeedFeed after determining that they did ship the correct box.

"Melissa" at SF took my call, got my info, then put me on hold for a second. At this point, I fully expect to have to mail them the old stock, wait for them to verify that it's the "wrong" one, then mail me a new one. I'm already geared up to "request" that they cover shipping. Most places never offer, but spending $5 more on something that's there fault is just not acceptable.

When Melissa gets back on the phone, she tells me my stock will go out FedEx overnight, and that they will send FedEx to my house to pick up the old stock. In explaining to me that "the same guy who drops off your new one won't neccessarily be the guy who picks up the old one, that usually takes a few days", I realized that her timeline was backward from mine :D The NEW stock should be here TODAY, and the OLD stock goes out via FedEx from my house in a day or two!!!

Thank you SpeedFeed! Too bad I don't own more shotguns, or I'd buy more SF stocks ;)

This is a good thing to hear, as I'll be buying a SF stock in the near future.

Good to know.

Let us know how the new stock works out. I would like a Speedfeed, but I can't shoot the "standard" size comfortably.

OK, here's the update...

Since my wife and I (like 90% of America it seems) are selling our house, I had the replacement sent to my Parents' house. It arrived last week, but I just managed to get over there today to get it. Took it home and slapped it on. SAME SIZE! :what:

So I call SpeedFeed again. Melissa apologized profusely, and said that they figured out the problem. As you can imagine, the shorter "IV-S" is really just a regular length "IV" that gets cut shorter by 1". The shipping guy, in his haste to fill my replacement order ASAP, grabbed a stock marked "IV-S" that just hadn't been cut off yet!

So anyway, she's overnighting ANOTHER stock to me, and I'll try it out this week to see if it fits.

Sure, this is a little annoying, BUT I haven't paid a dime... SpeedFeed picked up the tab both ways, both times! Again, short of getting it right the first (or second time), I couldn't ask for better service!

Hey MiniZ - SpeedFeed has short stocks... Youth models if you like the standard style stock, or the IV-S like mine of you prefer a pistol gripped full stock. 13" LOP. It feels like quality material. Very solid stuff.
