Does anyone on this forum hunt with black powder cartridge rifles? I am going on a hog hunt thi fall with my 45-70, so I may start practicing longer shots at cyotes...

Yes I do sometimes. Use both a 45-70 and 38-55 with BP and cast bullets. It's a lot of fun, haven't done it for some years. You've stirred some memories thinl I'll dig them out and use this fall. Thanks.
