I used the regular, NEVER the heavy duty. However, I know many magnum shooters who hand-load and they swear by using not only the heavy duty, but moreover they use a small drop of epoxy between the base and the receiver. That seems a bit extreme to me.
Again, I used the regular and I never had my .300 Weatherby come loose, nor did my .338 Win. Mag. or .375 H&H Mag ever come loose nor go out of adjustment.

Use the blue. I will hold well but you can break it free if need be. Use the red and it is there forever.

Red will release at about 350 degrees. I use Bearing mount locktite under my bases and on the base screws, as I don't plan on them ever coming off, but the real 'forever' stuff is the green Assembled Fasteners stuff. It will wick into the tightened bolt/thread interface and I have seen that stuff stand up to absolutely incredible pounding and vibration.
