This used rifle has a one in seven twist and is priced at $950 for a local face-to-face sale. This is all I know right now. Is this a good rifle? Is this a good price? Would some other AR-15 .223 be a better buy?

Thanks,

Drakejake

I just got one last week and it appears to be great plenty accurate enough for me. 20 round 2" groups. Mine is post ban meaning no flash hider and I paid right around the same price for the rifle, 5 20 rd and 1 10 rd magazine.

I have a 20" A2 Colt Target Match that I bought in '95. Chrome lined and 1/7 twist. Price was $750 new. It was of course a post-ban so it did not have a flash hider. It has been a great rifle for me. The only change I ever made was having a flash hider installed when the AWB ended.

Assuming the rifle is configured as a post-ban, I think $950 is way on the high side. $950 will buy you a brand new rifle almost anywhere you go.

Without any more info on the rifle, I would pass. Actually, even with all the info I could get on that rilfe, I would still pass at that price.

Cheers
