I'm sure some one does,do some googling and you should be able to find anything. Good luck carrying , I assume Model 19. I carried a Bodyguard in a ankle rig as a back up and I never could get used to it. My son has to carry a Glock 27 ( Department mandate)as back up and he carrys it in a ankle holster, but a 19 is bigger and heavier. Best of luck in your search.

model 64 snubby, as in 2", round butt. it is fairly compact, but it does have some weight.

those "mini" 1911s and glock 30s (aka brick) are in the same class for weight and size of this gun. im not looking for a $200.00 specially made hand boned horse hide double stiched waxed seams re-enforced mouth closed bottom calf support strap...........sorry, i had to breath.......

just a basic deal.

JERRY: Bianchi makes their "Ranger Triad" (4750) ankle rig for the Smith K frame in a 2" barrel.

yeah, i think thats the one that hangs upside down and takes two hands to free the gun. not what im looking for, but thanks just the same.

my applologies. the triad just might be the ticket.

how does that retaining strap release and stay clear of the hammer? it seems that it could stay looped on the hammer spur even after it is unsnaped and hinder a complete draw.

I referenced the Triad because it's the only ankle rig I could find that fits a K frame. I use a Ross to tote a J "down there" so I can't offer any first-hand experience concerning the Triad. BUT, after reading your post, I looked at the picture of the Triad again and I can understand your concerns about a potentially compromised draw (it's hard enough to access a gun from the ankle without adding another degree of complexity!).

Before I bought one, I'd want to try it on personally but, unfortunately, at least where I'm at, finding one "on location" is pretty unlikely. A retailer good about returning products that don't workout and/or a THR reader who could share some personal experience regarding the Triad is probably your best bet.

At any rate, good luck.

yeah, im in the same boat. cant try before you buy, or return without a huge hassle.........

reckon i'll stick to my J frame.

besides, in my experience, the nylon rigs are always puffy or bulky compared to a leather rig made for the same gun.

maybe i can contact Don Hume and have one made special. they are about the only company that may be able to do so at a reasonable price......
