Hi all!
I just purchased the 8-shell holder for my Benelli M3 Super 90, but realized after I recieved it that my reciever doesn't have any holes for the picattiny rail/shell holder fasteners to go into. Duh, I should have known with the iron sights...

Anyways, I have this now & would like to mount it, but will need to take it to a gunsmith to have it installed. Before I have this done, I was wondering if anyone out there has any experience with installing this type of device on an M3S90. The reciever looks to be rather thin in the center where the screw holes would be located, and I'd prefer not to hack up the sides of the reciever if I can avoid it. Any help would be greatly appreciated and as always thanks in advance!

I was once the proud owner of an M3, and I tried to put a sidesaddle on it just like all my other shotguns had at the time.

It was the 6 round model, this was before they offered a shorter 4 round model.

The shotgun would not cycle in pump action mode, the foreend was a little long and would stop when it hit the sidesaddle.

I am not familiar with the product you intend to mount, but I hope it does not get in the way of any controls or other moving parts.

Be sure if you really want to before you put any holes in the receiver...

Thanks for the heads-up. I just checked it & sure enough it is too long as the shel holder extends beyond the reciever in order to clear the fore-end. Bummer. But at least I haven't done anything to the gun...I guess I'll just get myself an M1S90 to bolt it to instead!
