I'm personally convinced that the 3" barreled double action revolver is the most beautiful wheelgun in the world and possibly the most beautiful handgun in the world. So, let's see some 3" wheelie pics! 5, 6, 7, 8 shots if you got 'em Rugers, Colts, Smiths, Dan Wessons, and any others if you've got 'em! With leather if you've got 'em, without is good too.
Stainless or blue. Wood grips or rubber. If you've got a 3" wheelgun, share a pic with us please! :D

Here's the .44 magnum I've been carrying most of the time. I've since replaced the Smith & Wesson rear sight with a better sight from http://www.millettsights.com

Here is my 66-6, and yes it came with THE LOCK. The lock has not given me any problems at all.

The S&W Model 66 Combat Magnum.
One in the classic 2 1/2" barrel, and one in the rare 3" barrel.

This is a Mag-Na-Port Model 57 in 41 Mag I had built back in the early 80s.
Millet sights, round Butt, mag-na-ported and hard chrome finish. tha action is great and it is dead reliable.
And yes before some one else says it, when the picture was taken the gun was hot.

Here is my model 60. I shot some 158gr .357's though it last night - talk about a snappy recoil  :D . I won't be buying any more of that load.

But I must confess that I feel left out and unloved - my 696 is missing the lock. Maybe S&W will put one on it if I send it in to them? Then it would really be a cool gun.

dfariswheel,
do those pachmayrs cover the backstrap?
im looking for some grips but none are too descript on this when i find them for sale on line. also, how much do they add to the length at the bottom?
im not picture literate for this site with all the extra hoops to post one, but my model 64 looks just like Mr. Camps, so you can vicariously enjoy mine.

Jerry, you can check the Bantam grips from Hogue. They are an exposed backstrap design, allow a full three fingers grip and are quite comfortable without adding much bulk to the gun. They will not work if you have really large hands or if you like really large grips. My wife loves 'em, a good choice for those of you who are looking for grips for a female shooter.
Here's a pic from their website, I can post it here since it's a 3"...
