Carry a Condition 1 1911 in a Miami Classic?

Hi all,

I was debating ordering a Galco Miami Classic shoulder rig for my 1911, since I have them for other carry pistols, and really like them. I was just perusing the Galco website, and they mention that all 1911 holsters with retention straps are designed for hammer-down carry.

Does anyone here carry a 1911 in one of these cocked and locked? I would think that the strap would still retain the pistol, but I thought I'd make sure before I drop that kind of cash on a holster that I can't use.

Thanks for the help!

I carry my Commander and Government Model cocked and locked in my Miami Classic. It never occurred to me to do otherwise.

I carry my commander or my STI .45 on Miami classic cocked and locked, it has a thumb break lock so no problem carrying it.:)
