I'm going to be in Vegas this weekend; anyone know if Nevada recognizes California issued CCWs?

No they don't. NV doesn't honor anyones CCW.
Clark County is especially weird, they have handgun registration on a county-wide basis. [Doesn't apply to visitors.]
IIRC, car-carry is okay in NV.
I actually called and asked the sheriff's dept prior to visiting Reno once, as NV state law "allows" for LE to issue what is essentially a temporary reciprocal permit, but they don't actually ever issue them.
OTOH, a non-resident NV CCW will allow for carry in NV, AK, ID, KY, MN, & UT. A little pricey and requires an 8-ish hour NV-approved course, IIRC.

Thanks Dex- I was going to check out the packing.org site next.
And I'm flying into Vegas. Damn. Looks like I'm Glockless this weekend.

If you can swing it sometime, apply at the Washoe County Sheriff's Office in Reno. They are very quick with the permits, unlike LVMPD which requires you to register your handguns before you apply for your permit.
LVMPD is also one of the onerous when it comes to permit applications, and, word is, they hold the permits a full 120 days before issuing. Whereas, Washoe County Sheriffs issue then around the order of a month.

No, but I think it's very possible to get a non-resident CCW in Nevada.
