All of that stuff on the site your link goes too is just as much opinion as anything Michael Moore has said. Just because you disagree with him does not make it a bad movie. I've seen some really great movies with reprehensible themes.

The problem is the oscar was for best documentary. What MM pawned off bears little or no resemblance to a documentary. The academy has specific rules (believe it or not) on what constitutes a documentary and "Bowling for Columbine" doesn't measure up.

It is not an opinion that the movie was not a documentary. That's a fact if you look at the Academy's own rules for a documentary.
