I don't know about Jesse, he has some other distractions right now. Three quick observations, though. The citizen used a Lorcin, WHICH WORKED, the carjacker died from ONE ROUND of .380 ACP, and the citizen won't be prosecuted IN CHICAGO.

I hope the gentleman stays out of trouble and charges later won't be filed. I hope he finds comfort knowing he is still around for his daughter, rest of family and friends. He served his country , it reads, he serves as a reminder to us all--we never know the when or where of an encounter.

Note also what the result could have been. Though not legal for firearms in that area, it was an underaged perp whom had a weapon with intent.

Jesse Jackson won't show up for this one.

Garfield (5500 block, south) and Wells (right by the Dan Ryan Expressway) is smack in the middle of one of the highest crime areas of the city. It is also almost 100% black. Jesse won't show because he can't pull the race card on this one.

FWIW, I grew up within 1 1/2 miles of that location.
