For those that might not know what a Win. 121 is, it is a single shot bolt action .22RF Rifle.
I just picked up one of these rifles used in good condition and am trying to find out anything I can about it.
My rifle is actually the Sears branded version, Sears M1, 273.27010
Doing a web search showed that this rifle may have been made by Cooey, manufactured in Canada for Winchester. Upon thoroughly cleaning this new rifle I doubt it was manufactured in Canada since it is plainly stamped "Made in the USA" on the barrel.
There is also an oval proof / manufacturers stamp on the barrel top just in front of the receiver. Inside the oval is an "S" and a "P" with the S being slightly above the P. I could not find a reference to this proof in my reference books.
I also posted this info over on rimfirecentral but am cross posting here in hopes of getting more info.
Regards,
Rob
