Which reminds me, I don't have a good wine cellar for long-term storage, so I've finished any of the 2000 Bordeaux I once had. How are some of the new French vintages looking? Anything approaching 2000?

I have a hard time keeping wine around. It keeps looking at me from inside its bottle. It just begs to be liberated, if only briefly, from its glass-and-cork Bastille.:D

Well, 2003 was a good year, 2004 was very good and all the signes are that 2005 will be one of the best ever. Just collected 12 bottles of 2004 from one of our friends at Chateau Pinet la Roquette http://monsite.wanadoo.fr/pinetlaroquette
and put 6 down in our wine store. You have to be STRONG WILLED and let em rest. Will probably wake em up in 2010!

So just find a dark area that has a fairly constant temperature, lay em on their side and let em rest!
