Matchbox Twenty Auction Tickets For Anti-gun Campaign
April 23, 2003
Rockers Matchbox Twenty are auctioning front row tickets to some of their upcoming tour dates - to benefit an anti-gun campaign.
The tickets for select dates on their MMore Than You Think You Are tour will be put up for bidding on auction website eBAY, with proceeds benefiting the Speak Up Campaign run by PAX, who hopes to end to the gun violence epidemic in America. Matchbox Twenty guitarist Adam Gaynor says the band always "does whatever it can" to help out organizations such as PAX.
He adds, "Yeah, I mean it's a great thing to be able to do things for people as far as trying to make other people aware of things.
"And if you can have any kind of contribution to a charity organization or an awareness organization - it's something that is a great thing if you can do it."
