I have watched a few episodes of the VH1 reality show Hogan Knows Best and have seen that the Hulkster really enjoys shooting rented full-autos at the range. Tonight a commercial where Hogan intimidates a guy interested in his teenage daughter by taking the guy to the range and firing rented full-autos and a .50 BMG in front of him caught my eye so I watched the episode. The guy that Hogan took to the range had never fired a gun before and looked quite scared of them. Hogan and his son got a good chuckle over this guys fearfull flinches. On the other hand, Hogan looked quite at home there blasting away.

Haha!

I was channel surfing and saw that same thing. That's Knight's Shooting Sports (shot there many times, but they suck)

Thought it was kind of neat to see the local range on VH1.

BTW, I'd never contrue someone going to the range as being pro-gun. Many anti's enjoy the shooting sports and own class 3 stuff, but believe YOU shouldn't own them. Elitism.

Unless I heard him specifically make comments about the individual RKBA in some relevant context, then he's still an unknown. Going to the range like that does at least show that he is open to the idea of shooting and firearms. Some anti's are so anti they refuse to even touch a firearm or ever shoot one.

There was a previous episode where Hogan was feeling jealous that his son was spending more time with his girlfriend that with him. He felt especially bad when his son stood him up on their “shooting guns” day. He said that “shooting guns” had always been something he and his son really enjoyed doing together. That makes me think he must respect firearm rights and ownership. Plus, from what I have seen of Hulk Hogan, he has a high level of personal integrity. I don’t think he would endorse personal activities he enjoys but thinks others shouldn’t engage in. But you are right, just because he appears to like shooting and believe in gun ownership doesn’t mean he condemns all forms of gun control.

I actually have met Terry Bollea (Hogan) a few times. A friend of mine was a wrestler for the NWA and Memphis territories years ago and then a "squash" wrestler for WWE for s short time. My friend made a comment that alot of wrestlers carried guns and the Hogan had a very nice pearl handled .32 semiauto. I remember this because I thought the little .32 must look tiny in his hand. I think Mark Callaway (Undertaker) and Steve Austin are also pretty into guns if what I heard was correct.

What on earth for?? Isn't the ability to pick most grown men up and slam them into the floor head first intimidating enough??

I know wrestling is staged, but there was an incident in the Far east where a group of touring wrestlers got caught up in a bar fight with a boxing conference in the same hotel. The boxers got the snot kicked out of them.

PS. Saw the Hogan episode where his son stands him up, after he'd been to the range he came home and demonstrated a good firearm cleaning routine, and talked about his need and ability to protect his family.

Playboy Penguin, LMAO, you're right. That little .32 must look pretty darned funny in that big guys hands. I'd figure him for a Desert Eagle auto or a BFR. In the TV show, the Hulk does seem to be very practical about most things; if a little overbearing with his daughter. But I cant blame him, his daughter is a very beautiful girl.

Forget exactally which ones since it was a few years ago but I remember a story on a few WWF wrestlers being jumped outside of a nightclub and one getting the snot beat out of him.

I have seen several episodes of the show including the episodes where he has gone to the range. I'm not a wrestling fan, but the Hulk seems like a pretty cool guy.

In the last episode they were shooting the .50 at an indoor range. I'm curious as to what kind of a backstop it would take in order to be able to do that. I can't imagine how loud that must be.

Machismo BS mainly.

"Hey, look at that big guy, im with a group of friends so maybe I can look hard if I pick a fight with the biggest one. THEN we can gang him!"

Thats how I get treated all the time.

Being 6'10'' is not a field trip. Ain't it the truth. I'm merely 6'3" tall. I had to get into high school before people quite wantin' to kick my butt. Seems small people built their rep by pickin' fights with the biggest kid around. I learned real quick to talk my way out of it.

I believe that was Shawn Michaels you are talking about. Believe me, it was not something anyone shed any tears over. There was a reason he got his a$$ kicked and a reason noone backed him up.

My friend I was referring to has a similar problem. He is 6'6" and weighs 380lbs. He says guys want to start something with him just to prove they are tough.
The scary part is he is not only an ex-wrestler but also a drag queen. Imagine a woman standing over 7' tall in heels and hair and weighing nearly 400lbs. I refer to him as "drag-zilla". :)

I wasn't aware that pro-wrestlers could actually fight.
Isn't everything they do choreographed? :neener:

"Whatcha gonna do, when the largest arms in the world and my Pearl-Handled .32 run wild on you?"

Hulk used to rent videos from me when I worked at B-Buster during my college years. He was very cool to talk to and at the time his son was just a little guy. They had a good relationship back then and its nice to see that has continued.

Knight's shooting range in Largo, FL has a "Wall of Fame" if you will, with pics of the Macho Man, George W., and several Buccaneers giving endorsements.

I've seen the .50 there for rent, but I'll leave it to guys like Hogan.

Hulkster has also worked as a professional bodyguard.

Pro "rasslin'" may all be choreographed, but I wouldn't walk up to Hul Hogan and spit in his eye.

Yeah, all those years of taking illegal steriods and lying about it shows great character.
