If this should not be here shut it down now.

I have not posted because the other thread was shut down.
I am at work right now. 06:00 to 18:00. I get home and all seems quiet. After dark the traffic starts backup. Last night the wife stayed up later than me, because I go to bed before 21:00. Said she went to the kitchen to close the window and across the fence some guy turned his flashlight off,and ran away.

I will be off for a few days and will do my part to keep the peace.

This is no Amway house. An Amway house would cut the lawn. Would not have peopke jumping over the fence at all hours of the night. The people frequenting this house have tattered hair, dirty clothing, drive around drinking beer. Some are bare footed, They are hauling furniture from the house next door. And as stated earlier the water is turned off.

I don`t look for trouble,and I don`t want any trouble.
But this can`t continue.

Be careful man, don't want to read about you in the newspaper.

Do what you have to do.

Here's what you do:

Call the DEA office for your area and report this. They will be very interested. Your local PD might be out of their league with this one unless they have actual detectives on board. If so, call and ask to speak to narcotics. Don't talk to anyone BUT narcotics. Tell them what's going on and include descriptions of people, license plate numbers, hours of traffic, any strange smells and sights, etc. Tell the DEA the same thing. Before you know it, these people will be behind bars for a very long time. Trust me. This works. That is what's going on in that house. They're selling drugs, perhaps even making meth.

:uhoh: Uh, arson/murder's never a good idea....

I had a deranged buddy that had good results getting his neighbors attention by planting a dead chicken under their house...

Think creative, not criminal....but don't compromise your own safety.

As someone who may have contributed to the closure of your previous thread, I want to make it clear I was not advocating that you "shoot first" recklessly - I advocate that you lawfully and ethically get your shot off quicker than the person who is unlawfully trying to harm you.

IMHO, Midnight to about 3:00 am is probably the time most people are asleep and most vulnerable - and the time they are most likely to try something.

I would advocate some kind of crunchy perimeter - peanut shells, leaves, maybe a little "junk" that would be noisy to move.

My livingroom is a minefield of baby toys - many of them will begin loudly playing "twinkle twinkle little star" at the slightest jostle.

you can't keep people from trying something, but your biggest danger is being suprised.

Let the DEA do the shooting. Those people are definitely trafficking. When guys in black with ski masks and automatic weapons barge in that place after a couple flash-bangs, the problem will be solved. Dirtbags in jail, peace and quiet. Everyone's happy.

Hot Brass-
The original thread wasn't shut down because of the topic. It was shut down because there were people advocating actions that were illegal. So long as everyone sticks to safe and legal solutions/suggestions, the thread will remain open.

In other words, the quickest way to get this thread shut down is to advocate vigilantism.
The second quickest way is to advocate doing things that while not outright violent are either stupid or against the law.

Get it?:scrutiny:

I now return you to your regularly scheduled thread.

In my county the Sheriff's department is the agency to call for a starting point. The DEA is busy frying bigger fish. There are several small and medium sized cities in which the police vary from Barny Fife et al to highly professional well organized interdiction teams. The sheriff's team knows which police teams are are good and which are cartoon characters so they are the ones to help sort out such problems.

My livingroom is a minefield of baby toys - many of them will begin loudly playing "twinkle twinkle little star" at the slightest jostle. Are those baby toys the tactical black ones or the desert drabs?

If you really want to unleash hell, call DSS and report them for child neglect and nonpayment of child support. THAT will get bureaucrats and the media there in about 10 mins.

In short, call everybody.

Call the Sheriff, then the DEA, possibly the local yokels.

Call Division of Family Services (or whatever they call it around you).

Call local church groups to come protest.

Call the local fishwrap and TV stations.

Call City Codes/Fire Dept./Fire Inspector. I'd bet the decrepit condition of the property and no running water are fire and code violations. Depending on how many junked cars/paying customers they have, you can call the zoning commission to see if it qualifies as a junkyard/brothel/pharmacy and belongs in a commercial zone.

Some dead chickens isn't bad, either

Then you can call Health Dept. and Humane Society.

For starters I'd probably put up a nice high privacy fence. It won't change what goes on next door, but it will help defuse the situation. I believe good fences help make good neighbors!

If there are any changes I will inform you all.

Again, thanks for all the support, Hot Brass
