Awesome concept, but poor choice of MIM parts which weaken the pistols. Also, QC issues lately.

Polymer models are junk. All metal if you want a chance at having a good one.

7.....I own three (PM9, P9 Covert and P45); the P45 has some minor issues, but go "bang." The others have been reliable; the PM9 had to go through the 200-round break-in period before I could declare it reliable.

Kahr MK9-my most-often carried gun. Rate-10. NEVER a failure of ANY KIND since round #1.

MK9,i liked it just find, easy shooting
even with 115gr +P's.Accurate enough
to do the job and very reliable with
everything i tried in it.

E-9,shot just as well as my MK9 but i
had a problem with the front sight. It
kept falling off even when Kahr fixed
it.Why Kahr just doesn't dovetail all
their slides is known only to them.

My early K9 stainless gets a 10+ rating.

I can't even INDUCE a stoppage, and it's been 100% from the first round.

Had an early K9 (blue model, tight chamber) that was 100% reliable for the first 300 rounds (FMJ and HP) I put through it (after the original owner put over 1000 through it). Then, it started to jam (jammed at least once per mag on both HP and FMJ). After 8 months of sending it back and forth to Kahr, and with them replacing multiple parts, polishing this, tweaking that and STILL not getting it to run without a jam, they replaced the gun. I sold the replacement and haven't looked back.

Shame really. The gun fit me like a glove, but I won't have another one.

I had a MK40. It was very reliable, unfortuantly the first trip to range resulted in the front sight flying off to the abyss. I got the gun back, and after about the 4th or 5th time to the range the new front sight went to join its brother. After 3 months the gun came back from Kahr, with another front sight. I sold the gun a few months later. I wish I would have got the MK9. I sold the gun because I simply could not hit anything with it. I think less recoil would have helped me. I also could not get used to the loooooooooong trigger. I keep wanting another, but with the reports of poor quality going up all the time I think I will look else where.
