a while ago someone linked to the first chapter of a story about a sheriff who carried a colt woodsman in his boot and a bunch of other interesting stuff on his way to a homicide. i was curious if someone could give me that author's name again, i'd like to check out some of his books. i'd search the forum for it but i dont even know what criteria to try to get that link

any help is appreciated!

thanks

The Blight Way by Patrick F. McManus is a hoot.
It is in something of the writing style of Robert F. Parker, with a nod to the Navaho "Way" stories of Tony Hillerman, and weird characters like those that populate McManus' Outdoor Life column.
