Rio Buckshot?

In my quest to more cheaply shoot my riot guns I came across Rio cartridge company. They have apparently been around since 1896 but I have never heard of them before. They produce a low recoil no frills buckshot load that runs about $.30 a round- comparable to Sellier, PMC and Wolf but of those only PMC makes a reduced recoil load.
Given that none of these are buffered or have wads I would expect the low recoil loads to shoot better-less deformation, not to mention easier on the shoulder. Anyway, has anyone tried this stuff? Any idea where it is made? The packaging looks foreign to me anyway.

Did a little internet research. Apparently they are a Spanish company and the single largest manufacturer of shotshells in the world-who knew? They have only been in the States for 3 years. Very interesting. Will order some and see how they shoot.

I am going to try Able Ammo in Houston. Rio has a Houston office I know from one of the articles I read and Able sells a BUNCH of shotgun shells. If anyone would have them they should. Not seeing it on their website but that doesn't mean much, shipments come in every day-websites don't change that often. We'll see.
If no luck there I will try my local dealer. He stocks Rio and might be able to get some to try anyway. Will also check with some of the Dealer Only Wholesalers- guys like Zanders, Sports South and Jerrys and see if they carry the Rio line or not.

Ah, another quest for good, cheap buckshot. Let us know how it goes, Lawyerman, maybe collectively we can put a spike in their sales charts...

PMC shotshells are good quality, but I do not recall seeing them at .30 cents each. Made by Clever in Italy according to the label.
Will have to ask about this locally.
