Grip Enhancement

Has anyone else found that rubberbands work best for them - instead of the sleeve's you can buy?
I can put the bulk of the band right where I need it (in the palm) rather than even all over. Works for me, just wondered if anyone else uses this method.

Interesting idea! Is that a Glock you have it on? (the thumbnail is too small, and my browser enlarged it so much when I clicked on it that it's way bigger than the screen. grrrrr.....)
Anyway, I tried just cutting a 3" lenth of bicycle inner tube and slipping that over the handle of my Glock 20. Was a pain to get on, but final result was perfect--stickier than the slippery plastic (er...excuse me, the polymer), but not as much as the official $15 grip sleeves, which were too sticky for me. The inner tube option also has the advantage of not making the grip larger, as the Hogue/etc. slip ons do.
I bet your rubber band plan would be as good though, with a lot less huffing and puffing.
