I have a question as to how to edit the thread line on an ad. I neglected to
put the fact that the item I have for sale is Left Handed and would like to do
so. I have tried various things and tried looking for how to do it as well with
no luck.

I deliberately titled this thread 'editing title line' instead of 'editing thread line'
to demonstrate the problem and when I clicked on the thread line to this
post I was allowed to edit it. I then tried the ad thread line again and was
not allowed to edit it. Am I doing something wrong?

There is a relatively short time period (1 hour) during which the external thread title can be edited. If you don't catch title errors or changes within that time window, you can PM any moderator to assist you with the change.
