ok my name is jim idk what a price range of this gun is but i think iit might be kinda good i would really wanna kno it is a hopkins&allen 12ga. single shot breakopen and it has an exposed hammer i would really like to know if anyone knows anything about this gun

Probable value around $50 or so.
H&A isn't a particularly expensive brand-name, and new single-shot shotguns of American or Russian make retail for $75 or so at Wal-Mart.
If it works well, it's a good gun, but it's not a particularly valuable gun.

I'm no H&A expert, but I know these were inexpensive utility guns made from the 1870s to the 1930s or so. Current value is less than $100 in good shape.
Like all old guns, a smith should go over them and pronounce them safe before you fire them.
