The RKBA is more about personal responsibilty, accountability and self reliance than about actual guns. Sooooo, one might take issues of importance to one's community and express the concerns with a foundation of these core American values rather than just focusing on the one issue of the 2nd Amendment. This can possibly help to generate the overall philosophy of liberty, freedom thereby saying that if personal responsibility, ect. is prudent for one issue then it is across the board.
For example, I live in a community where many of us work from sun up to sun down and beyond to be able to afford living here (and it ain't easy, fun or funny for many residents). Most driveways around here are empty by 8AM and earlier. Weeeell, some do-gooders thought of putting low-income housing literally on our doorsteps and everyone (really everyone) has gone insane and are considering moving.
Soooo, here's my Letter that was already approved for print in response to articles touting the importance of such a concept (that seems to be almost inevitable):

"I, along with my neighbors in the ***** ***** section of ****** ****, are concerned about the motives of those who are orchestrating the low-income housing project on our doorsteps. To get the most accurate barometer of what this means do not ask the residents of ***** ***** what they think, do not ask those with hidden agendas what they think, but ask the hard working people of our community who are eligible for low income housing what they think.
For they are striving for a better life for their families and probably resent handouts that do nothing more than imply an inability to chart their own course through life's struggles and triumphs. And nothing can be further from the truth than this disrespectful, elitist notion."

Hopefully I've made sense.
