want to reload for deer hunting and would like to use the .80 or .85 gr. bullet but want to know how they work first. will probably just use the 100gr.

I used the 87gr Hornady bullets on deer for several years. They dropped deer like sacks of wet cement with a shoulder shot, but don't expect an exit hole.

I like 100 grain bullets in a 243. 80 grain bullets tend to be too fragile for deer.
