One more ammo question...Dynamit Nobel 9mm?

In my quest to find a quality ball-ammo in 9mm, I have come across Dynamit Nobel...a standard brass-cased cartridge that is manufactured in Germany. The ammo is available at very nice prices. Before I buy in bulk, I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with this brand...

Priced at about 115 or so per 1000 rds...

Very good ammo...don't let the low price fool you. I regularly shoot it in a variety of 9mm handguns...pay about $101.00 thru Jerry's; there are probably cheaper sources somewhere.

Pardon my ignorance, but who/what is "Jerry's?"

I have shot several cases of the Dynamit Nobel "GECO" 9x19mm, 124gr.
The bullets have a mild steel jacket.
It has been reliable in my pistols - more reliable than S&B 115gr.
Some say it is "hot" or loaded to NATO specs. This is not the case from the data I have. It clocks in between 1065 - 1130 FPS, depending on the ambient temperature and the particular pistol/bbl length. This is comparable to regular pressure standard 124gr loads.
It is cleaner than S&B, but not as clean as my VV-N320 handloads or Proload.
It is a little more consistent shot-to-shot than S&B. Standard deviation of 5 shots has always been 10fps or less in my testing.
The cases reload well.
All in all, it's good stuff. If you are worried about barrel life, you might want to choose something that does not have a steel jacket, however.

I have shot a bunch of Dynamit Nobel .32 FMJ ammo and it is top quality. I didn't know that the 9mm had a steel jacket ammo. There are cheaper 9mms out there, the S&B can be had for those prices.

Geco 124gr ammo is good stuff. I shoot this through my 9mm on a regular basis. :)

The Germans know how to make guns and ammo !
We sell Geco 9mm in our store . Roughly 350 cases a year . I buy it direct from Dynamit Nobel in NJ along with RWS air guns .
It is IMO the best 9mm fmj for the $ offered anywhere . The bullet does have a mild steel jacket . It is plated to protect the bore . I have used it myself with great satisfaction .
I give it a thumbs up !

Might vary from style to style but
the 124gr. Geco I bought was brass FMJ in the black and blue boxes. 1500 rounds through my CZ without a single failure that wasn't operator error. Seems a tad bit hot, but is my choice of ammo for GP shooting

I didn't notice anyone say that it has a steel casing ? It does however seem to have a plated mild steel bullet jacket . I've seen the sparks when the bullet hits the back stop in an indoor range I visited . Try applying a magnet to the bullet .
My 1984 CZ 75 also likes it . Although , our CZ's will chew up anything :D Great guns for the $ !
Geco is a best buy in affordable 9mm practice ammo in our store .
I've tried several times to get them to bring in other calibers like .223 , 45acp and 40 S&W . I'll keep working on them .
Good shooting .

Never tried it in 9mm, but Geco .32 ACP is definitely top-notch. Best and most accurate stuff for the P-32 I've yet found. It was great for the Colt 1903 Pocket Auto also. I would buy it in a heartbeat.
