I saw an ad at GunsAmerica for a new stainless barreled LTR. Same 20" fluted barrel, but stainless, according to the description. Unfortunately, there was no photo.

Has anyone else heard of this?

Is SS an appropriate finish for a "sniper" type rifle?

There were a few LTRs that were turned out with SS finish for a particular shop in TX (I think). However, they are not listed on remingtonle.com. If you like what you see, buy it as they aren't a mainstream item. As for finish, most tactical SS rifles have some type of finish sprayed on such as Cerakote or Gunkote. gaprecision.net tends to use stainless barrels and they are all finish in some type of coating.
