A friend of mine wants a $150 for it. I already have 3 shotguns but something keeps telling me to buy it:confused:

It has a little rust on it?

A little rust

Hmmm. Looks like a bird/clays sort of thing, but pump. I'll betcha it's worth $150, even in that condition. The rust looks like "surface stuff" that could be polished out and the reciever reblued, or there's a number of ways you could homebrew a cure to the "metal cancer" that wouldn't be that pretty but would halt the damage, which is so far cosmetic.

If you want a gun like that, I'd snap it up :). 'Specially if it's a 12ga.

Whoa, no, that ain't a pump, it's a semi-auto :).

Here's one:

$500 starting price, and it's the same gun as yours it looks like?

Here's one that's been modified for use by a kid, and it's still worth $225+:

Yup. It's worth $150 :).

It's probably worth more, especially if that rust is only on the surface and the metal's not deeply pitted.

If you like it, get it. Chances are good you can get your money back out if it doesn't work out for you.

That sure looks like more than just surface rust. It looks like it was stored in a case or something where it had a good while to rust. Probably some good pitting under there. Still, I'd think it's worth the money if you can live with the pits.

I own an Ithaca XL-300 20ga that looks like the 51... Don't know what is different... The XL-300 is made by SKB in Japan... One fine little gun...I wouldn't sell it for $500...

Now while at the range . I noticed that the "Charging Handle" fell off:eek: Are parts easy to come buy:confused:

For parts, check Gun Parts Corp. The 51 has been discontinued for quite a while.

I'd get TWO handles.....
