Hi all,
In the 1944 Specification for the M1 Garand Rifle dealing with the area of the Breeching space it should not increase beyond what dimension after proof-firing?
Have fun with this one
Thanks again
PS my head hurts with this one.

I'm glad the subject line said this one was hard, Clancy; usually they're a piece of cake.
I'm afraid I'll have to sit this one out...

Hi all,
The correct answer is 0.001. You got the answer real fast on this one. I'll be back!! Must dig up a good one.
Thanks again
Clancy
ps the guys on the other board got it really fast. I will try to make the next quiz somewhat HARDER. hehe

Bring it on, Clancy! I'm already puckered! :uhoh:
"To try and fail is at least, to learn; but to fail to try is to suffer the inestimable loss of what might have been!"
An interesting answer, as usual, and also, in my opinion, a rather difficult change to measure... Can you describe the measurement technique for this test?

ambidextrous1,
The only other data I have on it is that if it did go to 0.001 another proofr round would be fired. If it moved again the lot could be rejected.
I hope this data helps.
Thanks again
Clancy
ps just put up another easy one.
