I saw it and fell in love. Had to have it. Can anyone give me more insight or dope on this little five shooter.

If it's in decent shape it's a outstanding deal
if it's what you want.It's a L frame but it will
use K frame grips.I've een looking for one
for a while but don't care to pay 700+ for
one.If it has the box and whatever came with
it from S&W it a steal atthat price.

You should be very happy as you were blessed. 696's are going for near double that.

I love my 696 no dash and will never part with it. Very nice gun, very special cartridge. I would be very surprised if you don't love it. You need to reload though as factory fodder will send you to the poor house.
