Well, I like it a lot, so I want to share a picture. If you haven't gotten a Glock yet, someday you will!:)

^Agreed. Those finger grooves gotta go. Also, I'd like a redesigned grip for better ergonomics.

G19 is my favorite handgun. Shoot the crap out of it, and enjoy!

Hi Marshall,

can you post some comparative pics of your G19 next to your PT-145 (and maybe also G27 which I think you also have)?

Thanks!

I have a Glock 19. It is one of the best guns you can buy. Period.

I bought a real nice 2nd gen G19 yeaterday for a great price. Don't really need it, because I have a year old G19 3rd gen and a rebuilt first gen G17. But, the price was too good to pass up, and I was looking for a 2nd gen when I traded an XD40 for the 3rd gen G19.

As far as the finger grooves on the 3rd gen, I followed a suggestion of a friend who is a Class III instructor. I drug out the old Dremmel tool, and knocked the finger grooves down. Not to worry, I took my time, and finished the grip with some 600 grit sanding. The checkering was not affected. You have to look hard to see the mod, and now the G19 fits my hand very well. I use the G17 in 3 gun matches, and have the 3rd gen set up with a tac light. Now, I will carry the 2nd gen and leave the others at the house. Like I said, I guess I am hooked!:banghead: :D

Yeah, for years I tried doing w/o a Glock in my safe :banghead: I went through a 17, 21, 36 & 23. I had one kb! in my hands :what: , I survived the non-recall-recall re: frames, I finally ended up w/ a 19 that has just been awesome.
Congrats on the new G19 :D They are great guns...simple, accurate & always go bang!

I shot some Federal FMJ, and some Corbon DPX through it yesterday afternoon, and it went bang every time, which didn't surprise me. I will post some comparative pictures with my Taurus PT145 Mil Pro when I get some time. I really like my PT145, too!
