Gonna be in Johnson City, TN this weekend for a car show, Nice that TN honors my CHL! Always feel a little vulnerable in motels. Any gunshops or public ranges in the immediate area that I should check out?
If ya make the car show on ETU campus, come by and introduce yourself. I'm the old fart with the wife showing a RED 2000 Mustang (TERSTANG) and khaki "Molon Labe" ballcap! Sure would be nice to put face with the names here!
Stay safe.

Not sure about Johnson City, or Bristol. Might be worth a Google. I know there's a lot of fun to be had in Knoxville if you make the trip, and down at Gatlinburg there's a real good knife store that I always divert myself over to when I'm on I40 over that way.

There's a gunshop/range just a mile or 2 down the road from ETSU. I think the name is Point Blank or such. I've never shot there myself and last time I did stop by their inventory was pretty sparse. That was last summer, though.
If you see a chubby Filipino with another khaki Molon Labe hat wandering around the carshow, that'll be me. (I might not be able to make it, because I may have to work).

Widner's has crazy short hours, I don't think they'll be open if you come by on the weekend.
Point Blank is the local indoor range. They don't have a lot of inventory, but the folks are nice. They're about four blocks from ETSU on Walnut -- easy walking distance.
Also nearby is Crowder's on the Jonesboro highway. They have a LOT of inventory, but are almost always so crowded you can't hardly get close enough to the counter to see what it is. And because of that they can get a little crabby at times.
Keep going down to Jonesboro highway and you get to Byrd's Specialty Firearms.. it's about oh... fifteen minutes or so from ETSU, and I think prolly the best place locally. Their inventory isn't as expansive as Crowders, but it's much more eccelctic. Nice ARs, beautiful Kentucky longrifles made by a local craftsman, and quite a bit in between. If you can only make one place local, that's where I'd go.

Hey, thanks for the replies! Hope the weather's good and we get to hit a couple of the places. Been to the Knife Shop! Nice SG store near Pigeon Forge last time I was there, no the left going in but don't recall the name.
Razor: be watchin' for ya'!
Thanks.
