I don't know, it looks like a lot of Smith's. I will take a guess though. S&W 686.

BINGO! Hutch has it right!!!
It is a 940-1
I just got mine Sat noon time. It was NIB. I paid $317.70 OTD.
It shoots real nice and I now have to get used to a short snubbie.
I shot some Magtech 115 FMJ and some Speer +P 147 gold dots
recoil while stout was easily manageable. I will post some more picts later.
Now to find a nice set of grips and a good pocket and IWB holster.
sn #BRR14XX puts it around 1994

I have one, so I guess it's unfair for me to spot it so readily. Mine is about to go back to Smith for sticky extraction problems. If it comes back as accurate as I sent it, and it will allow me to use CorBons without the use of a mallet on the ejector rod, it will become my always gun. It's my first Centennial, and I shoot it more accurately than than any J-frame I've ever shot, even shooting the others in single action.
