I have no idea what I want but I want something. It isnt that I havent bought a gun lately or that I can afford it either. There are a few guns I want but have no real purpose. I really want a SW 610 or a Glock 19 or 22. This ever happen to you guys? A sudden irresistible urge to buy something for no reason.

Yes, I have this discussion with myself all the time: "Buy new gun, or pay rent?" So far rent has won out every time, but the choice becomes more difficult every month!

Do you mean that some people don't have the urge to buy a new gun 24/7? Now I know why the folks at work call me a gun fanatic. :)

Get the Glock 19. It fits a variety of applications and isn't in the "extreame opulance" catagory.
You can always justify a light, reliable, accurate, effective, realitivly cheap to buy & cheap to feed addition to your gun collection.

I've found myself thinking about the next one on my way out of the gun shop with a new gun tucked under my arm—but I'm not an addict!
I give up! This site is just too @#$%^&! slow this evening!

If you don't NEED another gun (specific use), consider buying something off the wall, or at least different. The guns you mention are nice, but pedestrian. Just saying, look into finding something that will really hold your interest.
I'm getting close to selling my Glock. It's a good gun, but boring.
Just a thought.

Well gunbroker.com could give you some ideas real quick.
or...
How about buying a gun that you can get accessories for? Build a racegun out of a glock or 1911. That will keep you busy and will also lighten your wallet on a regular basis.

No sympathy here either... :)
Since my funds are so limited, I generally tend to have ONE pistol or rifle that I NEED on my mind, followed by AT LEAST one WANT in the background (usually 2, one of each). Just as SOON as I buy the NEED, then the WANT turns into a NEED, and some OTHER firearm that I hadn't even THOUGHT ABOUT yet pops up as the new WANT.
Right now, I NEED a .308 semi auto rifle, and I WANT a 10mm Witness Compact and a CX4 Storm (or a 9mm AR, or both) so I'll be saving and spending for eternity!
My vote is, if you have all your true "needs" out of the way (CCW's, match guns, hunting, etc...) then go for something obscure, or unique, or at least unlike anything you've owned so far. It's been my experience that doing that has appeased the need for a while (at least in one of the two ongoing categories) leaving me with only one or two "next buys" rather than two or three.

Reason? Damn, why complicate matter further? Just buy what you like & be happy! :D Your reason is "because!" :o

Two weeks ago I was thinking "what one next" as I was driving home from dropping $1100 on a new pistol. Unfortuneatly, I still can't narrow down my choices. I tell myself to wait but, damn - it's tough sometimes

You mean to tell me that some silly people out there actually feel they have to have a REASON to buy a new gun? I always thought the fact the gun exists should be justification enough. Now, if only my wallet would suddenly become as large as my dreams.

You must own a 1911 and a good .357 Magnum Revolver, two prime examples are as follows;
Kimber Stainless Target
Smith & Wesson PC 627
Any Questions?
