Did you ever notice that asking "which is the best rifle" on any forum is just about like talking to 50 older guys and asking which one has the prettiest grand daughter.

I don't have a grand daughter as yet, but I guarantee my 3 grandsons will have the best rifles (just like mine) once they're big enough to have them.:neener:

Good observations all round. And yes, my son also has a copy of the best rifle, that being a Ruger 77 in .270. His has the handle on the wrong side though.

Don't know about granddaughters, but you ain't gonna beat my Remington 521-T for the prettiest .22 rifle out there. And from several times I've had it out, it shoots like a dream too, along with my old Winchester .30-30 and M1 Garand.:D

Yeah, I noticed. Why? Because I have the best rifles on the planet and now ya'll know.:D :D :D And I'm 31 years old, so this disease ain't exclusive to old guys.

I always interpreted the "which _____ is best" as, "which _____ do you own?"

I'm half of 50 years old and I have the best and prettiest rifle and that is ...

the M-4 Gery, it's so sexy I just pop one every time I handle it and it's way better than a M-1 or M-14 or Remmy 700 or Ruger 77 or Win 70 or HK or AK, any body that says different should have thier computer taken way and replaced with an X-Box.

45 acp is better than 9mm

M16 is more versitile than a M1

Beaver meat is more tender than Racoon and a Timber Wolf will cost you about $50 less than a Bald Eagle

The BEST rifle is my 30-06.
Why that rifle is sooooo good, that all I have to do is tell it what I want fer supper and it will run out to shoot 'n skin the varmint fer me. Heck, all I gotta do it sit in my rocking chair.
Ok guys, beat that...... ha ha ha

Don't mind me, I just woke up in a silly mood today.

Hang in there "youngins" in another 25 years you'll get an idea of whats the best and what defines beauty, until then, your choices will change day by day, kind of like a fickle woman!:neener: There are many stages of growing up, I went from solid cowboy, single actions and lever guns to the whiz bang magnums, california style Monte Carlo stocks, white spacers and diamond inlays to classics like the pre 64 model 70 winchesters, to custom model 70s with fine walnut, steel and wood blended by the hands of masters of gunmakeing. What a wonderful journey, and what in the he(( did I do with all those rifles that I once owned:cuss: :D

But if you do have a granddaughter at some point, you have yet another reason to buy another rifle. And then she can join us in this endless debate of which rifle is best...

...to which the winner is... the rifle you have and can shoot well.

Anybody who can't shoot their rifle needs their X-Box taken away and replaced with an Atari 2600.

That's a great analogy!

I don't have a granddaughter yet, but my 17 month old daughter is prettier than all y'alls!!! Smarter, too. :D
