....between a Marlin Model 1895 GS & Marlin Model 1895 SS?

I'm thinking it is a miss print but I'm not sure. If there is a
difference what is it?

Stainless vs. blued.

The only reference I have found states this... MARLIN MODEL 1895 SS (SS does not stand for stainless but refers to the model).

The one I saw for sale was a stainless.

Preacherman, so it realy is a typo and should have said GS?
Would not the blued be the 1895G?

The 1895 SS is the standard model. 1895 G is the guide gun (shorter, ported barrel) and is available in blued or stainless. I haven't checked, but I believe the GS is the stainless guide model.

MachIVshooter, that makes sense. Thank you sir.
Yes, I believe the GS is the stainless one.
