I feel an empty void in the classic revolver area. I am looking at 45LC by a classic manufacturer like the Colt (SAA), S&W or possibly Ruger.
Anyone else have a specific type of firearm in their sights?

Russian M38 Carbine and a Yugo SKS
May 29, 2006, 10:27 PM
There was a S&W 17 sitting in the case a couple weeks ago. Some of the bluing was worn and it is expensive for a .22LR. Still, I thought about it. My excuse is that I need to work on my DA pull and the .22LR semis out there are SA.
I went in to look at it again. Sold! There is a Colt Python sitting there thoug. Normally I don't look at Colts much, but something made me look. Big mistake - great trigger, 4" barrel has a nice balance.
So now I'm looking at an even more expensive gun.:banghead:
May 29, 2006, 10:28 PM
Last purchase was kinda expensive - HK USPc. Next one is simple. Just a Keltec .32 :neener:
Para Ordnance CCW, or maybe the CCO. Whichever feels better in my hand.
May 29, 2006, 10:30 PM
May 29, 2006, 10:33 PM
I'm currently looking to get my second handgun. I'm looking at the springfield armoury XD-9 with the 4 inch barrel, or a CZ-75. I have shot both of them, and I really like them both. Just saving my pennies now :)
May 29, 2006, 10:38 PM
Here's my short term shopping list, in no particular order:
Springfield GI 1911
Ruger Redhawk (.44mag) 7.5"
Kel-Tec SU-16 in one version or another
AI AS50 or a Barret of the same caliber (can't we all dream?)
Oh yes, this is my first post, feel free to welcome me. Been lurking for a while, finally felt the need to start talking back.
May 29, 2006, 10:51 PM
feel free to welcome meWelcome. :D
Anyone else have a specific type of firearm in their sights?I'm actually kinda shopped out at the moment, but if I was forced :) to buy another firearm it would probably be a AR10 pattern rifle....
May 29, 2006, 10:56 PM
Welcome to THR. My post of this thread was my 1,000th post!. Try a M1 Garand, you will probably really like it. Also, the M1A is a truly great rifle to shoot. I am sorry I waited so many years to get one.
May 29, 2006, 11:38 PM
S&W 686 or a 30-06 rifle what is a good price for either with today ever increasing prices for guns?
May 29, 2006, 11:40 PM
SIG 556. Currently on order, waiting for delivery.
May 29, 2006, 11:53 PM
Well, on thursday I'm going down to pick up a S&W 19-4. It is in 95%+ condition with both factory and aftermarket wood grips for $200.
May 30, 2006, 12:06 AM
I have been considering a 3" Taurus 44 Ten for the novelty of having a 5 round .410 (and .45LC) revolver but first I need to make sure that my local range will allow it.
May 30, 2006, 12:16 AM
I am looking for a long range precision rifle and a battle rifle so my next rifle will be an Armalite AR-50 or a custom built .338 Lapua, or either a Fulton Armory M14 dropped into a Sage Tactical stock or a JLD PTR-91.
Guess it all depends if I get a sign on bonus and how hard it ends up being for me to get college paid for.
May 30, 2006, 12:43 AM
In about 3 years, when I get done with school, I'd like to buy a Springfield TRP Pro or Ed Brown Classic Custom. I won't have enough money to buy anything before then, or enough time to go shooting to make it worthwhile.
I bought a Yugo SKS last June that's only been to the range once (80 rounds) and a CZ-75B SA last August that's only been to the range 2 or 3 times (440 rounds). If I make any big gun related purchases before I'm done with school, it'll be sending my CZ to Miossi Gun Works for an action job, hard sear, and steel trigger.
May 30, 2006, 09:32 AM
Next for me is a Bersa .380 Concealed Carry. Looking for a lower profile for me and my wife wants to move up from .22lr. I got a surprise teaching assignment overseeing an internship. Not much work on my part and the pay will more than cover the weapon.
May 30, 2006, 09:41 AM
Nothing certain, but I've kinda got a hankering for a 3" Ruger SP-101 in .357. Wish they made one in .41 mag!
May 30, 2006, 09:48 AM
Got a deposit down on a .44 cal Vaquero.
May 30, 2006, 09:57 AM
Here it goes in this order.
C&R--Yugo SKS--Like I need another but oh well!
Rifle--Still havent decieded yet between a 700 or RRA LAR-10
These purchases will happen alot sooner if I can shake this Microtech problem I have.
May 30, 2006, 10:09 AM
Boy, there are some great ideas mentioned above!
Up until very recently I owned nothing but high-end revolvers, all-steel pistols and blued/wood rifles and shotguns. But I recently added my very first polymer-framed gun. Two of them, actually.
Just acquired a 10mm G29 and a 4" XD-45, so there won't be any "next gun purchases" for quite a while!
May 30, 2006, 11:10 AM
I'm thinking maybe an Olympic Arms Plinker+ AR15 or a Keltec SU16.
Given I'm in Jersey (not many "rifles allowed" ranges around), I probably ought not buy either of them, and just get a pistol caliber carbine instead.
Should common sense set in, I'll look at the Beretta CX4, ruger PC4, or Keltec
SUB2000 in .40.
May 30, 2006, 11:47 AM
Well, not really planning on one as I am buying things for the guns I already have, but I do plan on getting another stripped AR lower before the 2008 elections just to hold onto for a rainy day (If Hillary wins I'll quickly buy the parts to make a traditional 5.56mm AR to go with it before she bans it all).
If Springfield Armory decides to have the plant in Croatia make it, I'd buy a subcompact version of the XD45ACP.
May 30, 2006, 11:52 AM
I've got a lot of room for rmy cabinet, though my next purchase is a reloader.
After that, probably a Mossberg 500.
May 30, 2006, 12:02 PM
No new guns in the immediate future.
My PhD graduation present to myself will be a 30-06 left hand bolt gun with a scope. I am considering CZ for the bolt gun; don't know about the scope.
May 30, 2006, 12:50 PM
I'm in the process of buying an FN-49 (8mm).
May 30, 2006, 02:00 PM
This coming monday I will be getting a sig 220 ST
And in a few months, I want to pick up the sig556.
May 30, 2006, 02:21 PM
Minty... in Mass, quite the gun.
May 30, 2006, 02:33 PM
My next purchase will be a good 12 guage SxS shotgun. I've got a hankering for an old Ithica, Fox, or Parker.
May 30, 2006, 03:09 PM
My next gun will be a Smith and Wesson 500 Magnum. I haven't yet decided whether to get the 4" or 8-3/8" barrel.
May 31, 2006, 10:33 AM
I'm looking to get a Kel-Tec PLR-16. I have a brand new holosight looking for a place to rest. I'll see if I can find one at the gun show this weekend.
May 31, 2006, 10:41 AM
Sometimes I look back at a gun purchase and want to kick myself! For example I was looking at 375 H&H because I thought it would be fun to shoot and is an interesting cartridge. I found a really nice pre-64 Winchester Model 70 for about $750, but got a CZ 550 American Magnum because it was less expensive. With Winchester closing production on the Model 70 I am sure the prices, especially on pre-64 models, are sky high. Oh well, the CZ is still nice.
May 31, 2006, 11:46 AM
I have just about everything I want in guns including shotguns, rifles and Handguns. When you get to the point of not shooting one for over a year, you have too many. I may trade but the buying is over. 30 handguns, 12 shotguns and 17 rifles. Steve 48
May 31, 2006, 12:27 PM
My next purchase will be a DSA SA58.
May 31, 2006, 12:32 PM
I've already made a purchase on a Les Baer Custom Carry that I've been waiting for since February. :o
Next would be a HK P2000 I predict :)
May 31, 2006, 12:46 PM
M1 Garand, 30-06. through the CMP. :D
May 31, 2006, 12:47 PM
Rem 870 12 ga.
(I haven't had a shotgun in a long time and want to take a crack at clays....looks like fun).
Bolt action high power rifle with a nice scope (Savage 10-FP or Rem 700)
(200 yd targets at the range looks like a lot of fun to)
Military rifle (probably an M1A)
Colt Combat Commander
.38 snubbie with laser grips.
May 31, 2006, 10:01 PM
Kimber Eclipse Custom II in 10mm...
May 31, 2006, 10:27 PM
Sig 226 X-Five...9mm heaven!
May 31, 2006, 10:35 PM
My last purchase was a SVT-40 rifle.:)
May 31, 2006, 10:55 PM
I want a Kimber pro eclipse, but, I think it's a little too much gun for me. Since I have a Bersa Thunder .380, I'm now wanting the conceal carry!
May 31, 2006, 11:01 PM
I actually don't really forsee any gun purchases in the new future, I have almost all categories filled. The only one I am missing is a big bore revolver, so maybe one day I will get a Ruger in .44mag to match my 94 trapper but other than that I have one of almost category I have ever wanted.:(
May 31, 2006, 11:23 PM
A Savage 11F in .223...just can't decide on the scope.
May 31, 2006, 11:59 PM
Sig Arms 556
Springfield Armory SOCOM II
Galil ARM .308
HK USP .45
Ed Brown Executive Elite (all-blue)
Okay so maybe it's more of a wish list. :P
In actuality, and in no particular order or priority, I'm considering a new Mossberg 590 (I had one but sold it years ago and regret it now), a Saiga 12 shotgun converted to a K-type by Tromix (http://www.tromix.com/saiga.htm), a M1A SOCOM (I or II, doesn't matter to me, whichever's cheaper), a CZ-P01, or a HK USP .45.
I could buy a Saiga 12 for cheap and convert it for 350 more, and still have money leftover to get a Mossberg 590 and a CZ-P01 for the price of either the SOCOM or the USP (maybe I can squeeze in one more, such as the Saiga sans conversion if I went with the USP). If I won the jackpot or got willed a ton of money though, you'd bet I'd be all over that list and then some. Man, firearms are expensive....
June 1, 2006, 12:47 AM
either any type of 22 that catches my eye, or a taurus 17hmr revolver, with 10 in bbl.
June 1, 2006, 12:48 AM
A Savage 99 in .308 and a Charter arms Bulldog 3" in 44 Special. The former is on layaway, the latter is in the mail to my FFL.
10 Ring Tao
June 1, 2006, 12:53 AM
An AK for the girlfriend, which will be duracoated pink.
A P3AT, also for the gf to carry at work in her pharmacy vest, also likely to be duracoated pink.
June 1, 2006, 02:07 AM
A safe, then maybe another handgun from CZ, either 110 (9 mm) or 97 (.45ACP), later a decent bolt action, PGM, Sako, CZ, something like that.
June 1, 2006, 10:02 AM
Mosin Nagant M38, Longbranch Enfield, or an Aussy Enfield.......chris3
June 1, 2006, 01:22 PM
A Taurus Model 44, 44 magnum ported with a 4" barrel in Stainless
June 1, 2006, 01:53 PM
Can't afford one for awhile.
My last one was an AR-15 and I still need equipment for it.
In order, my list is going to go something like this:
1. about 1K of ammo for the AR. I have a little on hand for it now but I want an ammo can full of SS-109 and some type of fragmenting stuff.
2. AR-mags (I need about 6 more).
3. ARMS mount for the AR carry handle and a compact, decent 4x scope.
4. Sending off my Imbel FAL and having the barrel cut down to 17".
If I can afford it... a Glock 20.
June 1, 2006, 02:01 PM
Lets see. After buying the XD 45 a few weeks ago, I now have 5 handguns and 1 shotgun. Probably an AR style rifle, probably an AR 10. I would like a bit more power than the .223.
June 1, 2006, 03:43 PM
hmm...first would be a new 1911. Either a Springfield or Colt to send of to MichiGuns for some Ned Christiansen magic. Also, I've been drooling over STI's Legacy. It's one of the few factory set-up that's close to perfect for me.
-Sig 556 pretty soon after that.
-Sig 239 for the wife.
-Marlin 45/70 Guide Gun to replace the one I gave to my father-in-law.
-A shotgun. The last time I went shooting I missed my Benelli, although my next shotgun will be a pump rather than a semi.
I'd also like to get some work done on my H&K USC once we leave CA.
June 2, 2006, 12:02 AM
North American Arms mini .22WMR revolver
June 2, 2006, 12:25 AM
a 1911, don't know what kind yet tho.
June 2, 2006, 12:59 AM
Brown Kobra carry
semi auto .22 for the kidos (and me, i can't lie)
goodies and ammo for the new franken AR 15 (last purchase)
6.5mm grendel upper w/ scope, mags, pile o ammo
Lots more $ and time to go play at the range with the toys I already own
June 2, 2006, 01:09 AM
Not sure.I got back into guns following a 7 year hiatus and managed to go from a single gun to 26 in a year and a half.I still haven't even fired one of the AR-15's or the K31 and have only shot my HK SL8 twice so I probably need to budget for more shooting time than more things to shoot.I'd like a subcompact pocket pistol like a Seecamp and I'd like to get a .50 before we aren't allowed to have them anymore but neither are immediate needs.A P7 would be cool as I think it's one of the "must haves" for pistol shooters along with a 1911,BHP,S&W Model 10,PPK,Single Six,a SIG of some sort and a Glock.I'm sure that list is going to grow when I decide what I need to add next.
A thing of beauty and perfect in my collection. I still need to convince my wife to let me buy a Bren... sigh perhaps chloroform and then a dash for it.
June 2, 2006, 08:07 AM
Marlin 1895 GS .45/70 is on its way to me as I type this. It has taken a long
time to find one, let alone one that was priced within reason ($549.95).
Next weekend should be a Ruger SP101 .357 in 2.25".
Oh yah..... and I'm still waiting on my Springer 1911-A1 Loaded Long slide that
is on order.
June 2, 2006, 08:36 AM
Mine is a CZ Ringneck 12 gauge SXS on layaway as we speak after that who knows. Maybe a AR15 or one of Marlin's leveractions. I have a guide gun in 45/70 but am thinking that the cowboy gun would be awful nice too. Then I spotted a Bersa Thunder 380 in a local shop for $199.99 which I may get for concel carry.
June 2, 2006, 08:43 AM
Tikka T3 SS in either .300wsm or .270wsm.
Just as soon as I can make up my mind.
But I'm also needing a Nova pump for some 3 1/2 goose shells that my M1 Super 90 can't handle...
June 2, 2006, 08:47 AM
Hopefully I will find a deal on a Glock 19 some time soon. Other than that I just plan to spend money on ammo and range time. The idea is that I want to be proficient with a few firearms (one handgun, one rifle, one shotgun) before I spend too much money on firearm quantity.
June 3, 2006, 02:38 AM
Rifle: Bushmaster AR15 (but the new sigarms 556 looks sweet)
Pistol: Ruger GP100 357 six inch SS
June 3, 2006, 07:07 AM

45/70 rifle, would like a high wall
maybe another glock 22, this one for USPSA
i'm half way thinking i'll get 2 more free glocks this year so the 22 would be one and maybe another 34. then again i don't have any 10mms.
June 3, 2006, 08:37 AM
Remington 700 PSS .308
Colt Single Action Army .45 LC

June 3, 2006, 08:58 AM
Should be here in the next day or two.
June 3, 2006, 09:01 AM
Some form of high quality, full size .45acp. Don't know if it'll be a 1911, or a Big Sig or what.
Eric Howland :)
June 3, 2006, 09:08 AM
H&K P7. I've wanted one for a long time.
Old Time Hunter
June 3, 2006, 09:38 AM
A Shiloh Sharps #1 Sportster
June 3, 2006, 09:42 AM
My next will be a Bond Arms derringer in 45 LC.
June 3, 2006, 10:24 AM
My next one will be an AR in a M-4 configuration but I can't decide between RRA or STAG.
June 3, 2006, 10:28 AM
Urgh...I'm trying to save my pennies for a SCAR-H if/when FN releases a civvy version.
But things keep popping up...like the Rasheed I picked up at the last gun show
Kovrov or Tula SVT-40
FN-49 in 7mm and .30-06
Swede M96 and M38
Finnish Mosins of just about any flavor
que sera, sera...whatever the gunshow gives me
June 3, 2006, 10:31 AM
probably an ak of some kind or a .38 snubnose but not for a while i just picked up a ruger gp100 in .357 mag last night and it is one sexy gun.
June 3, 2006, 11:15 AM
Well in the last 3 months I've spent about $2000 or so on a couple of new guns, a really good spotting scope, a bunch of accessories and some reloading supplies. My wife doesn't mind BUT(!) - SHE KEEPS SCORE - :D and it's gonna cost me - soon - so it'll be a while before I get another new firearm (3 or 4 months at least) but when I do this is the list I'll be deciding on and will get one of them.
Sig P226 .40 S&W (wanted this for a long time but every time I check the price and then go home and handle my CZ-75B SA in .40 I balk).
CZ-452 - the one with synthetic stock and blued barrel.
Remington 870 - a model with 20" barrel (do they make one).
Sig P220 Combat (will trade in my current 220 - or not ;) ).
Sig 556 (want one but just got a BM M4A3  ).
June 3, 2006, 11:38 AM
Not a fan of the CZ 452 Lux and FS, eh? Heathen. :p
June 3, 2006, 11:49 AM
either a shotgun (since I don't have one) or a pistol caliber lever.
I am thinking 357/38 since I have some .38 specials laying around and no pistol to fire them out of. Plus a bunch of brass I have been saving cause I want to get into reloading.
June 3, 2006, 12:37 PM
Kimber Super Match......have a Gold Combat and might as well go all the way.:) -Don
June 3, 2006, 01:22 PM
Not a fan of the CZ 452 Lux and FS, eh? Heathen. Actually the Lux would be my first choice but it is my understanding that they aren't made anymore or are not for sale in the US. If I'm wrong point me in the right direction so I can point the kitchen table gunsmith/FFL I buy from - when ever possible - in that direction.
June 3, 2006, 02:31 PM
...That I'm going to pick up a Hi-Point 9mm carbine for centerfire plinking...
June 3, 2006, 04:21 PM
Taurus Thunderbolt in .38/.357 if that mythical beast ever sees the light of day.
Cimmaron 1873 in .38/.357
Winchester 1895 clone in 30.06 or 7.62x54R
And one of these combos:
Kel-Tec SU-16C and Sub 2000
AR 9mm upper/lower and short action gas piston .223 upper.
Sig 556 and HK94 (or equivalent clone)
June 3, 2006, 08:16 PM
just got a BM M4A3
Sweet werewolf thats just the one I want. (I'm read alot on ar15.com cause this will be my first "black rifle") If you have any buying tips to look out for that would be awesome.
June 3, 2006, 10:01 PM
Well I said a rra or a stag by my wonderful wife just let me buy a BM 20" heavy barrel today. Dang she is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
June 3, 2006, 10:15 PM
It'll be awhile, since I just unloaded cash on a SAR3, but there are what I have in mind.
- S&W Victory model .38 revolver, with US Navy markings (gift for a good friend).
- Another semi-auto in .223, such as a Keltec SU16CA or Armalite 180B.
- Thinking of trading up on my Ruger GP100, from 4" to 6" half lug.
June 3, 2006, 11:37 PM
A CZ in .375 H&H
June 4, 2006, 01:33 AM
Browning auto-5, humback 12 gauge.
June 4, 2006, 03:30 AM
any 22 that catches my eye, just picked up a marlin levermatic mod 56 made in 55. 100% steel, not an aluminum or plastic part anywhere. Also a very old , very stock ruger 10/22 with the super trigger job from the guy here in Houston, that has been doing 10/22 trigger jobs for 40 years now. He is the best , period.
If i get something else , it will be a Taurus tracker, 6 in bbl. in 17hmr, 8 shot capacity.
Which one will come in first (except for the last one), which would be my next purchase, will be a toss-up.
June 5, 2006, 07:41 PM
My next gun will be a 50 tula sks. my local shop is holding it for me. I am also going to get a new stock for my hakim.
June 5, 2006, 08:11 PM
C&Rs excepted, my list of priorities are as follows:
1) .338-06 AI built on a MRC LH action or CZ action if they ever start making them w/ LH bolt.
2) S&W Mountain Gun in .45 Colt.
3) Stag Arms AR w/ LH upper.
4) Glock 27 in OD green.
5) Marlin 1895 in .45-70.
June 5, 2006, 09:02 PM
the short list, in order of priority
Ruger GP100 357 4inch (don't yet have a 357 anything in the collection:what: )
Ruger SP101 32H&R
Ruger M77 Mark II Lefty in 7mm rem mag or 300 win mag not sure what one yet
Of couse there is always more, I want, but those are the next 4 right now
June 5, 2006, 11:44 PM
Maybe another Encore barrel in 25-06 or .270. Otherwise no new guns in the immediate or forseeable future.
June 5, 2006, 11:46 PM
In the past 2 months I have picked up
Colt Combat Commander 9mm
Remington 700LH 30-06
My gun purchases are on hold for a while or untill a nice double action revolver catches my eye.:D
June 5, 2006, 11:50 PM
Remington 700 .308 LTR. Ordered it today.
Deciding on all of the proper accessories is a somewhat enjoyable but time-consuming task.
September 13, 2006, 06:43 PM
I had a kimber ultra, colt combat elite, trophy match, commander in 38super, H&K P7M8, S&W airweight&airlite, rem 700, mini 14 by accuracy systems, springfield v10, naa guardian 380, naa 22 mag but am now going with the basics. With little time to shoot, i still find it necessary to have the rifle/shotgun/handgun package nearby. I am goin with a G23, Kel Tec SU16ca, Mossberg 500 with sidewinder. The SU 16 is my new purchase.
September 13, 2006, 07:03 PM
Although the FN SPR A2 and SL Shotgun came in, I actually bought a Kimber 82 from the CMP before anything else 12 days after my original post.
September 13, 2006, 07:19 PM
I'll probably hold off buying anything new for myself until early next year. That way, I can save my pennies for this:
A Lewis Machine & Tool Rail-mounted M203 grenade launcher w/ 9" barrel. I've got an M-16 this would look great on.
Thompson M1SB. (Semi auto Thompson M1 from Kahr Arms.)
Technically already purchased, just waiting for my tax stamp. :D
September 13, 2006, 07:23 PM
1911, probably stainless, probably a Springfield.
September 13, 2006, 07:42 PM
OEF_VET, what would you fire out of it? I would imagine HEDP and the like would all be destructive devices on their own, but are star clusters and practice rounds also DDs? What about the buckshot rounds?
I was planning on one of these:
but know it looks like its gonna be one of these:
every time I go to get a new 1911, something else breaks on the Jeep. I can't win.
...course I could stop wheeling and then maybe the Jeep would stop breaking...no thats not an option.

I will get it with night sights and a couple extra magazines.
The HE rounds are DD's and require the $200 tax. (However, since I'm already an FFL/SOT, it wouldn't THAT difficult for me to change to being a Type 9 FFL, and avoid those costly transfer fees. I'd just have to buy the rounds as the corporation, and not as a private individual.)
The blue training rounds, with the orange powder, are not DD's, so do not require a transfer tax. They are also not too expensive. From what my research has shown, the ILLUM, CS, and Flechette rounds are not DD's, either.
The biggest problem for folks who do buy M-203's is finding a place to fire them. However, I have enough friends who are gun nuts and own sizeable pieces of property, that I don't think I'd have too much difficulty finding someone who wants to shoot off a few rounds of HE. :D

I just made my next gun purchase, a nice Ruger P345, now I'm trying to hide it from my wife:uhoh:

I am really leaning toward 3 guns. I am thinking a Kel-Tec P3AT for pocket carry, a Ruger SP101 because I think I need another wheelgun and last but not least an AK47 of some sort, probably with a folding stock just because I don't have many Mil. Arms.

Well, I changed my mind from my earlier post (http://thehighroad.org/showpost.php?p=2478647&postcount=18), but only slightly. Bought a 2.25" SP101!

You are a VERY lucky man, OEF. I toted one of those 203 monsters through three tours, and hated every minute.
YMMV, but I detested mine.
(of course, Uncle would'nt issue HE to the "line" then >:)
I'm looking at another M-1A.

I'm going to get this for my first rifle. CAR15 11.5" barrel with 5.5" flash hider.
There's a gun store around here called Target Sports that's advertising a sale on bushmaster and rock river arms rifles and their website says they have them.....so I can't freakin' wait!:D

I'll admit humping a -203 isn't all that much fun. Lord knows, I never liked it myself. But, pulling it from the safe, throwing it ito the trunk, and taking it out for a few rounds is another thing altogether.

I have in mind to buy three (not sporterized) of the "American Enfields" (1917 30 cal) used in WWI, one manufactured by Winchester, one by Edistone, and one by Remington.
After watching the WWI series they ran on the Military Channel, I thought it would be neat to collect (and shoot) a few rifles from that era.

I've been on a long gun wave...I was not a big long gun shooter, but my last purchases have been Beretta 391, 10/22, M1A and most recently my RRA middy :D I think next will be a bolt action rifle (caliber TBD) :D
...or maybe another 1911, a blue one this time :D

I kind of want to upgrade my T/C G2 pistol(.223, .221 &.410/.45LC) to a rifle but can't make up my mind. A .50 cal muzzle loader with iron sights or a tack driver with a scope?

it'll be one of 2.....i'm dreaming about nothing but CZ P-01's and Hi-Power's right now....there's a gun show here in Greenville this weekend....hmmm maybe i'll follow Joe7's route, buy both and simply hide them from the wife;) ...
