If you call CZ USA they will sell you one. You could also check the CZ forums. They have guys who craft them out of solid metal rods. Either way you should be fine

I cain't believe that your Jack Ash rod has a split in it! I thought all of his rods--when he was makin' 'em, which he ain't no more--were stainless steel!
The two Jack Ash rods I got are both stainless, the one in my 40P and in my 97B are just perfect and I cain't see how in the world they'd ever "split" since there really is no strain on the rod at all.
CZ-USA will sell you a replacement for not much moola, but your gonna get a plastic one.

I, too, am pretty surprised that the guide rod "split". It's stainless and there's no strain at all. Did it split after you bought the gun or did it come that way?
I just put a new guide rod in my CZ 97B. I found that the hinge pin from a 2 1/2" steel hinge was a perfect fit in length, diameter and head size. It cost me all of $3 at Lowe's.

I can't get the new camera they gave me at work to focus good enought to take a close up photo, but it's cracked about 1/2 of the circumference.Bought the gun used, never noticed it before and I pay close attention when inspecting it when cleaning. It almost looks like there was a flaw when it was turned down or cut.

If it's solid stainless steel, Steve could probably build one for your make gun. He's reliable and quick to reply to an email request. Try here: http://bedair.org/P226/Guiderod.html

"It had a jackash one in it when I bought it and that one has a split in it."
Hard to believe... they are lathed from solid stock. Hard to believe, but not impossible I guess. Did you contact Jackash for a replacement? I'm sure they would want to take a look at the faulty rod to see what happened.
My P-01 still sports the Jackash rod and it retains the first impression I had of it... "Whoa... this is SWEET!"

Here's a picture of my factory and my "home made" guide rods side-by-side:

The angle of the photo makes it look like the factory rod is longer but they are actually identical in length. If the PCR uses a shorter guide rod, it would be easy enough to trim one down with a simple hack saw and smooth the edges. For the CZ 97B, the 2 1/2" steel hinge pin was a perfect fit. If the PCR diameter is different, just take it to the local Home Depot and shop around until you find one that's the right dimension.

CZ does sell metal guide rods now. I was quoted about $17 for one from them. It was $8 for the plastic

Steel vs. plastic guide rods has been debated at length over at the CZ forum. Stop by and do a quick search.
The steel ones look cool. But for some reason the plastic ones keep on working. It's really a matter of personal taste, they both work.

CZ's official position is that steel guide rods shouldn't be used in their alloy-framed guns, but they're fine in the steel-framed guns. (The steel guide rods are actually harder than the frame and I suppose that could lead to problems over the long-term.) Members of the CZ Forum, however, have been using them for several years and there have been no reports of unusual wear.
The head gunsmith at CZ also said that steel guide rods won't work with the flat-coil recoil springs in the 75 Compact .40 -- they eat up those particular springs. They're working on a fix.
I've never had a plastic CZ guide rod fail, and have never heard of one failing. They are more flexible than some, and so are less likely to crack or break. Other types of plastic guide rods do fail (as do metal ones.)

Send me that split one. I am very surprised one would do that. First I have heard of anything like that. I'll get you another one for sure.
