Issue with Romanian M69 trainer

Anyone here with a Romanian '69 trainer rifle:
Cock it
Put the safety on
Squeeze the trigger REALLY HARD
Does it drop the striker for you guys too? I'm looking at the bolt, and I suspect that this is a design fault—the striker is not locked by the safety.

the pin that hits the safety knob and keeps the trigger from dropping the striker is broke or worn..probably worn.

Correct - one tiny bit of metal being worn down, no safety when you tug the trigger hard. I don't rely on mechanical safties anyway, but it's a good bit of knowledge to know that the safety may not work. :)

go to buymilsurp.com and check for parts.

As an afterthought, do you have the problem of very slight ejection? Sometimes the empty cases are unable to even make it out of the rifle!

Yeah...I find that it often works a little better if I crank all the way up (hard), and then back, instead of my usual arc.

Hm, I've found it works for me 99% of the time if I unlock the bolt and then really run it back.
