My freind said he saw a really good deal for shotguns up at kittery trading post in Maine. I live in NH. Are there any rules or restrictions concerning out of state long gun purchases?

GreyMauser June 3, 2006, 08:03 PM Some states, at least, require proof of in-state residence. It's not a federal requirement. You need to call the Maine dealer to see whether they will accept your NH drivers license. This is assuming you would travel to Maine to make the purchase. Gas prices where they are, it might be cheaper to pay your local FFL holder and UPS and have it shipped. gezzer June 3, 2006, 10:35 PM KTP will not only sell to NH residents but they will take the firearm over the border to their transfer office in NH so you don't get stuck with the Maine sales tax!!!:D :D :D pdowg881 June 3, 2006, 11:20 PM thanks. Got relatives up in kittery so I'm there enough. Good to know for when I'm up there. jerkyman45 June 5, 2006, 05:11 PM I live in Rhode Island, can I buy up there too? RI guns laws are a little more idiotic...i mean restrictive. I love KTP and was just wondering if i could buy up there and bring it back on down here.
