I just bought a brand new one and to my surprise....the trigger won't activate the hammer if the mag isn't in the gun. :(

Mine is about 2 years old, and does not have a magazine safety.

I just hope they didn't spoil that excellent trigger by using the same system as on the high power.

It doesn't seem like it. They incorporated the disconnect on the spring plunger that kicks the mag out. I don't think it rubs on the mag at all, like the high power does.
