Iron sights for 50 BMG

I have a Serbu 50 BMG and I am thinking of replacing the scope with some kind of iron sight or holographic sight. I know these guns are meant to be shot from very far away, but I just cannot see myself shooting that far. I wanted this primarily because of its power and penetration. So, is this gun very practical to shoot with some form of iron sight?

Three sights come to mind... Aimpoint, Trijicon, and Holosight. Those are what I would choose from if I wanted something other then a scope. I don't think you could do iorn sights, cause the barrel isn't drilled in the front...

I have a Bushnell scope in my .50 untill I have the dough for a Nightforce.


But man I can't get enough of the .50BMG. It's simply an amazing round!
